There are now almost a hundred fiberglass pool manufacturers here in the United States.  Many have started up over the last few years.  They look at the cost of a good shell and say “Hey I can make that cheaper and make a fortune on these.”  We have repaired and even pulled out and replaced many of these.  Originally we did not even want to install fiberglass pools.  Then with time and technology some of the manufacturers started making pools that were significantly better.  We started with San Juan and found their flaws and moved to Viking and had more success, but they started having issues with fading.  At that point we were getting kind of frustrated when someone told us about a company from Australia that had been making pools for years there and were now starting to make them in the USA.  I went down to Texas to check them out and was amazed at the quality.  Since then we will use nobody else.  Others have come along that offer some cool shapes or some cheaper prices, but nothing compares to the quality of a Leisure Pool.  After going to a dealer meeting a few years ago, I talked to the owner, David, and told him about how great Knoxville is and about the old Sea Ray plant.  Now a few years later they are headquartered here in Knoxville.  How great it is to have the factory here for support.
